Itinerary

08:00 AM – Sankhu

Arrive early at Sankhu Bus Park to gear up and soak in the energy of this traditional town. Take a few minutes to navigate the historic cobbled alleys before locking into the main northbound trail.

09:15 AM – Dhalanko

Hit the first major climb through farm settlements and terraced fields toward Dhalanko. The trail steepens as you trade flat roads for dirt paths, gaining solid elevation while rewarding you with sprawling views back over the Kathmandu Valley.

11:30 AM – Kartike Bhanjyang

Reach Kartike Bhanjyang, a key trail junction nestled on the ridge. This is the ultimate spot to take a quick breather, hydrate, grab a local tea, and admire the open ridge landscapes before tackling the final climb.

01:00 PM – Nagarkot

Push through the final forested stretch and emerge onto the Nagarkot hilltop. Stand tall at over 2,100 meters, drop your pack, and take in the panoramic views of the Langtang range stretching across the horizon.

Please allow 1 hour to reach Lamatar, and 1 hour for the return journey to your hotel after the hike from Suryabinayak.
